University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Department of Theatre and Dance

The Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is accepting applications to join us in the Fall of 2025 starting August 15th, 2024. The Department of Theatre and Dance is large enough to offer a variety of experiences and challenges, and small enough that our students receive the individual attention they need. Our curriculum is innovative and emphasizes creativity. 

The Department of Theatre and Dance offers six theatre and dance degrees, including three highly selective BFA tracks in Musical Theatre, Acting, and Design & Technology. In addition, we offer three liberal arts degrees in Dance, Drama, and Arts Management. The BA degrees allow students to study multiple focused areas and combine these degrees with additional majors and minors outside of Theatre and Dance.

We strongly encourage applicants to consider our Arts Management program, housed in the Department of Theatre and Dance. These transferrable and useful skills in the Arts Management program are a great addition to a young artist's education. The Department of Theatre and Dance accepts a limited number of new students each year so, if you want to be learning, working and performing with a select group of students under the guidance of our world-class faculty: 

1. Submit your University application for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at University of Wisconsin Online Application
   1. Please note: you must be accepted to UWSP before being accepted into one of the areas in the School of Performing Arts.
2. Submit your Department of Theatre and Dance application and schedule your audition/interview.
   • Applicants applying directly through the Acceptd portal are charged a $35 application fee.
     • Applicants who may require assistance with the $35 Acceptd application fee can contact Accept directly for a potential application fee scholarship.
   • Applicants can also apply directly through the UWSP Theatre and Dance Auditions webpage.

March 1, 2025 - UWSP - All Theatre Programs

Reminder: Applicants are able to apply and audition prior to knowing their acceptance status to UWSP. However, applicants must be accepted to UWSP before being admitted into The Department of Theatre and Dance.
