For more than 60 years, the Waco Symphony has been a vital part of Central Texas’s cultural landscape, presenting live classical music that enriches the community. About the Waco Symphony's Intern Program
The Waco Symphony hosts an intern program for collegiate students to learn and play alongside professional musicians in a symphony section. Auditions for all instruments are submitted virtually each summer and accepted interns will be mentored by the principal of their section. Interns are compensated per service. About the Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra
The WSYO welcomes talented student musicians (most in 6th-12th grades) to audition, rehearse, perform, and appreciate orchestral music under professional guidance, led by Ms. Rebekah Lambert. The orchestra performs two free concerts each season, one in the fall and one in the spring.
Audition day is scheduled one week before the WSYO’s first rehearsal each fall. Auditions for the spring semester can be scheduled upon request.
