Life at WCU

As part of the University of North Carolina System, WCU is situated amidst the stunning landscapes of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. Our location has earned us a reputation as a top adventure college. With the introduction of the NC Promise program, we offer an affordable education with in-state tuition at just $500 per semester and out-of-state tuition at $2,500 per semester. Note that this subsidization only applies to tuition; other fees and housing costs are additional. For more details on tuition and fees. (https://www.wcu.edu/apply/tuition-and-fees/index.aspx).

Admissions and Scholarships

Admission to the School of Stage and Screen is competitive and requires an audition or interview. We recommend applying early to enhance your chances. Note that acceptance into the School does not guarantee acceptance into WCU, and vice versa; you must apply and be accepted by both.

You can find detailed audition and interview information by selecting a program from the upper left-hand corner of this screen.

To apply for WCU scholarships, complete the WCU application process by February 1st. While you can audition or interview before being admitted to WCU, you must be accepted into the university to be considered for a Stage and Screen scholarship.
