The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarships were developed to promote the study of fine arts by graduating high school students who intend to pursue fine arts studies in college with a goal of a degree in fine arts and a career in fine arts.  Over time the program has expanded to provide scholarships to individuals seeking to enhance their career in fine arts through completion of professional or graduate studies and certifications.

The high school scholarships, which are awarded annually, are merit-based on talent and academic achievement.  Financial need is not a consideration.  Graduating high school seniors who reside or attend school within the north Houston geographic boundaries set by the Scholarship Committee may apply in one of six fine arts disciplines: Dance, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Theatre Arts, Visual Art, and Vocal Music.  Note that applicants may apply only under one discipline and are not permitted to submit a second application in a different discipline.

Professional and graduate scholarship applications may be submitted throughout the year.  Previous recipients of a Pavilion Partners Fine Arts high school senior scholarship may apply for this scholarship as well as anyone who currently lives and works in a fine arts capacity within the state of Texas.

Scholarship values are determined by the current availability of funds.  Recently, the scholarships for high school seniors have ranged from $2,500 to $10,000.  Amounts awarded and number of recipients are determined at the discretion of the Pavilion Partners Scholarship Committee.

High school seniors who receive a Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship may be able to renew their scholarship during their undergraduate years provided they meet specific criteria.  If awarded, the values of renewal scholarships are determined by the current availability of funds.  Recently, these renewal scholarships have ranged from $2,000 to $5,000.  Professional and graduate scholarships are not renewable; however, recipients may reapply once per 12-month period, based upon funding date, if they meet eligibility requirements.

The Pavilion covers the cost of the application process for high school seniors and renewals.  As such, there is no cost to applicants to apply for those scholarships.  The cost to apply for professional and graduate scholarships are the responsibility of the applicant.
