Welcome to the School of Music at West Texas A&M University and thank you for visiting us on Acceptd.

We are located in the Canyon/Amarillo area of the Texas Panhandle, midway between Dallas/Fort Worth and Denver. With a population of approximately 240,000, the area offers the amenities of a large city in a small town atmosphere. WT, a member of the Texas A&M University System, ranks as one of the most affordable schools in the country for both in-state and out-of-state students. In the School of Music you will join 300 majors, 32 full-time and 8 part-time faculty members pursuing studies in performance, composition, music education, music therapy, music business and music technology. Our All-Steinway School of Music is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

The School of Music is a dual admission program. Students must apply and be admitted to both the university and the School of Music to declare a music major. Begin by applying to WTAMU, and then start your application to the School of Music here on Acceptd.
