Dear Prospective Student:

Welcome to the University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance on Acceptd! 

We are very pleased that you are interested in auditioning for us for scholarship consideration.  

We will be hosting an on campus visit on February 10th and 11th, 2023.  If you are not able to join us in person, we will also be holding a zoom option for meeting us on Saturday, February 11th.

All applicants should use this site to upload applications, letters of recommendation and videos.  

To apply for a Theatre & Dance Scholarship, all materials must be uploaded to this site by January 30th, 2023.  

To begin the process, please choose the specific program for which you wish to apply. You will be taken to a page where you can upload your headshot, resume, and video clips. In the “Bio” text box, please tell us something about yourself that is not obvious from reading your resume.

While we hope you can join us in person in February, we also invite you to visit us in person when you can.  Visiting the campus offers you the opportunity to observe, ask questions, and experience the atmosphere and environment that makes the university unique. It also allows for you to form an impression intimately and directly with the school, faculty and current students and may assist you in reaching a decision about the suitability of our program specific to your personality and goals. Additionally, you get the chance to make a stronger impression about your interest in the University of Wyoming and the Department of Theatre and Dance. We would recommend, you submit your application on-line AND visit campus at a time of your convenience! 

The University of Wyoming is a nationally recognized research institution with accomplished faculty and world-class facilities located just two hours from Denver, CO, and only minutes from first-rate climbing, skiing, and other outdoor adventure opportunities. You can apply directly to UW for admission.  

UW Theatre and Dance has been recognized by Stage Directions magazine as one of the most outstanding undergraduate theatre and dance programs in the country. 

We offer BFA Theatre concentrations in:

• Acting
• Musical Theatre
• Design/Tech (Costuming, Lighting, or Scenic Design)
• Dance Performance
• Dance Science
