21st Annual Pirastro Strings Virtual Elite Soloists Program for Double Bass

The 21st Annual Pirastro Strings Virtual Elite Soloists Program will accept only 5 participants to study with Jeff Bradetich in a virtual environment. Last summer’s virtual program brought students together from five continents. 

Special Guest: International Solo Artist Dominik Wagner, winner of the 2nd Bradetich Foundation International Double Bass Solo Competition. 

This program offers free tuition and the Pirastro company will supply participants with free strings of their choice. The schedule for this highly individualized program includes: Daily private lessons, solo master classes and a final virtual concert. This program is designed for aspiring young artists and professional orchestra players.  

To qualify, participants must have three major solo works ready for study and one for performance. 

Former participants currently perform in: Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, Chicago Symphony, National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Singapore Philharmonic, National Orchestra of Denmark and many others. 

To apply, fill out the application and upload a video of you performing 3 different solo works of your choosing by April 8th, 2024

37th Annual Bradetich Double Bass Master Classes 2024  
  

Dates: June 11-15, 2024 (check-in June 10th) - Please check www.bradetichfoundation.org for more information on the 37th Annual Bradetich Double Bass Master Classes 2024  

The Bradetich Double Bass Master Classes, held at the University of North Texas, are one of the longest-running events of their kind in the U.S., offering a highly concentrated week of study for aspiring bassists. Participants, who come from four continents as well as all corners of the U.S., receive optimum individual and group instruction in every aspect of double bass playing. The classes include daily two-hour sessions dealing with technique, orchestral repertoire, interpretation of solo literature, and bass ensembles rehearsed throughout the week. All participants have the opportunity to perform with piano accompaniment during the solo classes. The master classes end with a grand finale concert featuring ensemble performances by the participants and various guest bassists. These unique master classes are open to well-qualified high school and college students, young professionals, string teachers, and amateur double bass enthusiasts who seek to rejuvenate their love and knowledge of the double bass. To apply, please fill out the application opening on January 5th. Applications will close on June 1st. Early registration fee is due by May 1st, 2024.

24th Annual Beginners and intermediate Bass Camp 2024  

Dates: June 12-15th, 2024 - (check-in June 11th) Please check www.bradetichfoundation.org for more information on the 23rd Annual Beginners and intermediate Bass Camp 2024 

The Beginners and Intermediate Bass Camp is designed for any aged beginner or intermediate player providing lots of playing and lots of fun. Students are challenged to expand their technical capabilities, develop their musical expression, and learn about the repertoire, history, and maintenance of their instruments. In addition, students will be taught by some of the top teachers of young bassists in the country and perform together in a grand finale Bass Bash Concert.
