Welcome to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Audition Registration Site

Register your audition or interview in this portal if you are applying in an Undergraduate, Honours, or a Postgraduate coursework degree for Semester 1 2024 to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney.

Instrumental/vocal performance applicants: Live auditions will be held at the Conservatorium. You will schedule your audition time in this portal. If you live outside Sydney and cannot travel to the Conservatorium for a live audition, you may submit a video audition – do this by registering your details in this portal and upload your video file. 

Music Theatre applicants: You will submit a video in this portal. If you pass the video stage, you will be invited to attend a live audition at the Conservatorium. 

Composers / Contemporary Music / Musicology applicants: You will submit a portfolio of works and schedule your interview time in this portal. Interviews will be held via Zoom. 

To apply:

1. Make a UAC application (or direct to the University of Sydney for a postgraduate course); and
2. Register audition or interview in this portal;
3. Check audition guides to prepare audition/portfolio.

Postgraduate Research candidates do not use this portal. Please apply directly to the University of Sydney.

• 3 to 7 July 2023
  Live auditions in: classical (except organ), historical, and non-western performance.
  Zoom interviews in: composition; creative industries; digital music; contemporary music; musicology.
  Register your audition or interview before 30 June 2023.

• 25 to 29 September 2023
  Live auditions in: classical, historical, drum set, jazz, music theatre, and non-western performance.
  Zoom interviews in: composition; creative industries; digital music; contemporary music; musicology.
  Register your audition or interview before 17 September 2023.
  Music Theatre applicants: register and submit part 1 video before 3 September 2023.

• 25 to 29 September 2023
  Live auditions in: classical, historical, jazz, opera, and non-western performance.
  Register your audition before 17 September 2023.
  
  
• 4 to 8 December 2023
  Live auditions in: classical, historical, jazz, and non-western performance.
  Register your audition before 26 November 2023.
